2013 Greene County graduate killed in rollover accident in Boone County

Aaron Beaman, 20, a 2013 graduate of Greene County high school, was killed in a one vehicle accident in Boone County Sunday, Sept. 14. The time of the accident has not been confirmed.

According to  the Boone County sheriff’s office, at 7:35 am Sunday a caller reported a vehicle in the ditch in the 600 block of L Ave, near Frazier northwest of Boone. The caller believed the person in the vehicle was not alive. A Boone County deputy and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed that the driver, Aaron Beaman of Jefferson, was not alive.

The deputy and an Iowa State Patrol trooper determined Beaman was northbound on  L Ave when he  lost control and rolled the vehicle into the ditch. The vehicle came to rest on its tires.

A State Patrol sergeant said Monday afternoon that alcohol was possibly involved and the final accident report is pending toxicology reports. Beaman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and airbags in his 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup truck did not deploy.
